Re-finding the ground beneath your feet
In this series of Feldenkrais lessons you will learn from your body what you need to stand firm and ground well. You will learn how your body uses both gravity and upward force to stand relaxed and stable and at the same time be resilient.
Our body is like a mirror of our mental and emotional inner world. Our movement is guided by the sensations and feelings we experience and the thinking that arises from them. Learn from your body, to get optimal ‘feeling’ with your need in the moment and to act accordingly.
By becoming aware of the way in which you physically support and organize yourself in everyday activities, you get to know your automatic – and often unconscious – habits and behaviour. You learn to feel when you ‘fight against your body, when you do activities with too much effort, and when you are in the ‘should’-mode and therefore not listening enough to what your real need is. And you gain insight into how that can be a reflection of how you are mentally and emotionally in life.

I will verbally guide you through a series of carefully designed movement variations that are built around everyday actions. They give you a deep insight into how your body wants and can move with resilience, stability and flexibility. This awareness and insight will help you also integrate these qualities in other areas of your life .
